HYPETEX® COLOURED CARBON FIBRE

Composite Worx is collaborating with Hypetex®, the award-winning innovators and global leaders in coloured carbon fibre to bring this technical material to SA markets for the very first time.

Hypetex® coloured carbon fibre maintains the mechanical properties of standard carbon fibre whilst offering a choice of colour and aesthetic options.

CARBON FIBRE PARTS

Carbon fiber is often combined with epoxy resin to create a reinforced composite product. These compounds are used in airplane wings, automobile body parts, and sports equipment.

Benefits of carbon fiber include high stiffness and strength, lightness, corrosion resistance, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

KEVLAR COMPONENTS

Kevlar is often used as a part of composite materials in composite parts. This is due to Kevlar’s extremely high tensile strength, meaning that it can resist stretching notably. Kevlar’s compressive strength is about 1/10 of its tensile strength, and that’s why it is combined into composites.

Airplanes, boats, bicycles, paddle blades and protective clothing, are some examples of products that take advantage of Kevlar’s remarkably high tensile strength.

FIBREGLASS PARTS

Fibreglass is a common type of fiber-reinforced plastic using glass fiber. Cheaper and more flexible than carbon fiber, it is stronger than many metals by weight, is non-magnetic, non-conductive and can be molded into complex shapes.

Fibreglass applications include aircraft, boats, automobiles, water tanks, roofing, surfboards and various tooling.

3-D PRINTING

3D printing is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model where material is deposited, joined or solidified under computer control.

We offer 3D designing and printing using a range of printing filaments.

Individual filaments are also available to purchase.

COMPOSITE MATERIALS

We offer a wide range of composite-making materials, available directly to customers.

Available materials include reinforcement materials (fibreglass, carbon fibre, kevlar, carbon fibre sheeting), epoxy resin systems, gel coats, peelply, release agents and other composite kits.
